Private means out of the ordinary list when you choose.
Gift Hiding Mode saves the record as a private, important item.
StashPin includes a “Hide Private Items” setting. When it is on, private records are filtered from the regular item, location, tag, search, and recently deleted views. Turn the setting off when you need to work with them.
The private-item setting is a visibility control inside the app, not a substitute for your iPhone passcode or other device security.

Record the recipient, occasion, status, note, and optional reminder that matter.
Update the status
Mark it wrapped or given so the record reflects what happened next.
Make the hidden location useful to future you.
“Closet” may feel obvious today. A little more structure helps weeks later.
Start broad, then narrow: “Guest room closet → top shelf → behind the blue suitcase.” If the receipt or a small accessory lives somewhere else, put that in the notes instead of trusting it to memory.

- Choose the optional reminder only when a date will be useful
- Update or delete the record after the gift is given
