Save only what helps
Use a location and clue that are useful without adding unnecessary sensitive details.
StashPin is local-first. A local copy stays on your iPhone, and optional Personal iCloud Sync uses your private Apple CloudKit database. The app does not include an account, in-app advertising, analytics, or tracking.

The app is built around information you keep on your device.
StashPin stores the item names, locations, notes, tags, alternate names, flags, movement history, app settings, and backups it uses locally on your iPhone. When you choose photos through the system photo picker, StashPin copies those selected photos into local app storage so they can appear with saved items and locations.
Backups, exports, and sharing are actions you initiate.
StashPin can create backup files and export or share item details through iOS sharing tools. Depending on what you choose, those files can include item names, locations, notes, tags, dates, privacy flags, and selected photos.
You are responsible for where you save or send exported backup files. StashPin does not operate a developer-hosted service that receives them.
Use a location and clue that are useful without adding unnecessary sensitive details.
Select a picture of the container or landmark when it is more useful than a picture of the item itself.
Create, store, restore, or share a backup only when and where you intend.
Privacy-first describes how StashPin is designed; it does not replace device security or careful sharing.
For the exact current policy, including photos, backups, exports, purchases, and contact details, read the StashPin Privacy Policy.
